Lenk is a traditional farming village nestled at the foot of the
Wildstrubel Glacier. You will drink fresh milk each morning, have a chance to visit Lenk's smellier residents and make local cheese!

Exploring the trail system...

Switzerland has built an extraordinary countrywide marking
system for its Alpine trails. We will often see these yellow
signs as we navigate our way on foot and bikes.

TrailSmiths: Chores

Taking responsibility...

As a team we all share in chores and responsibilities
at the Chalet and Farmhouse, made fun by the fact that
we do them together!

"The most rewarding aspect of the program was completing a
physical task - the hike on the way to our hut - as a team. No
matter what, going through something like that together brings
people closer…it worked for our group. Everyone had to
contribute, work hard when they were tired, and work together
toward one common goal."

Whether you are an athlete, performer, adventurer, community server, or curious student you will be happy here! During the Term you will spend 10 nights in tents and high Alpine huts, work in teams to communicate, innovate and build confidence, make cheese with a local Swiss farmer, mountain bike, go rock climbing and conduct glacier travel, and learn from your leaders, among other activities!

You will have a combination of day trips from our Chalet base camp and 4 day overnights in the Alps.

Mountain biking the slopes...

A scenic way to explore the valley and a challenging group experience! Don't worry if you have not mountain biked before. We'll teach you how!

The foundation of our curriculum includes discussing excerpts from stories of service and leadership and communicating often with your leaders about your own goals.

Eating too much chocolate?...

You will have a free day during each phase of the program to hang out with your pals and shop for famous Swiss cheese and chocolate.
